As artists and designers, often our first response to creating originates from our intuitive sense – the ‘aha moment’. Confirm that intuitive answer and discover other possibilities to enrich your process and visual vocabulary by using the elements and principles of art/design.
Choose your concept – a memory, poem, quotation. Using theories of colour, shape, repetition, contrast and balance, combined with simple paper engineering techniques, we will create individual 3-dimensional kinetic vignettes expressing visual responses to your chosen concept.
At the end of the day, these tableaux ‘pages’ will be linked into an accordion-fold flutter book recording your process for the day to be read as a regular book or displayed as a sculptural piece.
